i was recently reading Anthony Robbins - 'awaken the giant within'.
According to him , taking negative thoughts/habits out of our mind leaves a gap and vaccum behind which we can keep empty for some time as long as we are motivated but after some time it again tends get filled with undesired thoughts/habits.
that is one reason why people are not able to overcome habits (like smoking/overeating/procastinating etc.) easily. To do that one has to put in a new desired habit in place of the old one so that there is no vaccum left.
Coming back to :
'Mann se Ravan jo nikale Raam uske Mann mein hain', so in my opinion we will have to consciously put in thoughts of ram (healthy thoughts) , and not just absence of thoughts of ravan.
Just like absence of disease does not mean health .. ;)

its a rare manuscript yaar which i found in a bookstore...its a translation of Ramayan in english by Romesh C. Dutta..c if u can find it its gud..
